In this talk, Visiting Assistant Professor of Photography Atefeh Farajolahzadeh explores the psychological experience of immigration as a condition of in-betweenness--geographically, temporally, and linguistically. Through photography, video, and installation, the artist examines how displacement reshapes relationships to place and time, and how visual forms give shape to modes of belonging that remain unsettled and in motion. Light refreshments will be provided.
