Rick Bomberger is a Senior Lecturer of merchandising. In addition to managing the domestic internships and externships flowing through the apparel merchandisng area (in tandem with Professor Shaffer), he is the lead coordinator for an international internship program pairing merchandising students with corporate partners in Hong Kong and Singapore. In his courses about entrepreneurship, sourcing, manufacturing, and product development, Professor Bomberger draws from four decades of leadership in the retail and merchandising industry. He is a former executive for GAP North America and Paul Harris, the founder and owner of RB Apparel (established for 25 years), and serves as a consultant for corporations such as Dimension Furniture and Wild Birds Unlimited. He has worked in both store and corporate management on product development, sourcing, manufacturing, store design and construction, real estate and site selection, brand licensing, and omnichannel merchandising.
