The Eskenazi School Fabrication Labs provide the tools, equipment, and expertise to facilitate student and faculty production in all areas of the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design.
The Eskenazi School has four fabrication labs—three in Bloomington and one in Columbus:
Fine Arts Fabrication Lab—1201 E. Seventh Street, room 141, Bloomington
Kirkwood Hall Fabrication Lab—130 S. Woodlawn Avenue, room 014, Bloomington
Bloomington Wood and Metal Shops—822 E. 12th Street, Bloomington
Columbus Instructional Shops—Republic Building, 333 Second Street, Columbus
These fabrication labs support the curricular needs of all units in the school, but are also available to students, staff, and faculty members from across the university. Services are billed to bursar, research, or departmental accounts, and cost roughly 1/4 of equivalent commercial services. Signing up for lab time is required.
These fabrication labs have facilitated the research of individuals from Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Kinesiology, Art History, Kelley School of Business, Informatics, the Media School, Radio and Television, and all units from the Eskenazi School.
