Hoosier Lifelines: Environmental and Social Change Along the Monon, 1847-2020
Hoosier Lifelines is an artistic and historical exploration of Indiana’s changing environment along the remains of the historic Monon railroad. Though the railroad, nicknamed the “Hoosier Lifeline,” is no longer in existence, this exhibition uses it as a foundation to understand the interplay of landscapes, ecosystems, and communities across time and space.
Empowering the Women’s Vote and 63 Suffragists of Color
Every four years since 2000, AIGA (the leading professional organization for design) has activated its community of designers across the U.S. and beyond to Get Out the Vote through its Design for Democracy campaign. A collection of posters, designed by AIGA members and commemorating the first legislation for women’s voting rights, will be displayed in the Grunwald Gallery and will be accompanied by 63 Suffragists of Color, a special commemorative quilt by Bloomington artist Patricia Coleman.
