Overseen by the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design, the Sage Collection serves as a resource for students, professionals, and the public. Its museum-quality collection spans more than 250 years and includes a hands-on study collection used in classrooms and fashion design studios.
Although the Sage Collection is not open to the public on a regular basis, exhibitions drawn from its holdings are held periodically (see archive) and objects are loaned to museum exhibits around the country and in Bloomington. Researchers who wish to study items in the Sage Collection should submit an inquiry at least two weeks in advance to Sage Director and Curator Kelly Richardson at ksrichar@iu.edu.
