Figurative Painting Today: A Guild Fundraiser

Presented by the Painting Guild at the Eskenazi School, this exhibition and silent auction showcases representational and abstract figurative painting in oil, acrylic, and watercolor. The exhibition opens with a reception on Friday December 6 at 5 pm and remains on view through Saturday, December 7. Sales will fund entry fees for the Painting Guild's planned exhibition at the 2025 Chicago Expo.

The event begins at the Eskenazi Museum at 4, proceeds to the Grunwald Gallery at 5, and to the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center at 6.

Local improvisational artists respond to the rare archival films currently on view at the Grunwald exploring themes of artistic innovation and social justice. The program will feature poetry, spoken word performance, and experimental jazz and filmmaking.
