Indiana University Fine Arts Career Fair
Art and design students at IU are invited to explore the diverse professional pathways for which their education is preparing them. The Eskenazi School has partnered with IU-Indy's Herron School of Art + Design to present the inaugural Indiana University Fine Arts Career Fair, October 2 from 11-3 on Herron's Indianapolis campus.
Intimate Alchemy: David Levinthal's XXX Polaroids—Artist Talk and Reception
Photographer David Levinthal "wants viewers to balance their assumption of credibility with the knowledge that [the photograph] is not real." The Grunwald Gallery hosts a talk by the artist Thursday, October 17 at 5 pm with a reception to follow, from 6–8pm.
Retail Studies Organization: Retail + Design Forum
The RSO Fall Retail + Design Forum showcases industry leaders who present about their personal career paths and interact with students in intimate break-out sessions.
Blurring the Lines: Gallery Talk and Roundtable
Artists whose work is featured in the exhibition "Blurring the Lines: Art at the Intersection of Human and Artificial Creativity" speak about their work from 10:30 to noon, with a moderated roundtable discussion to follow in the gallery from 1:30 to 3 pm.
Cas Holman talk: The Power of Play
In this virtual presentation, Cas Holman will share her insights on the product development and prototyping side of her product, Rigamajig, as well as upcoming projects from her independent toy company, Heroes Will Rise, based in New York City.
Miller Architecture Program Open House
Join the Miller Architecture program in Columbus for an evening of exploration. Meet faculty, staff, and current students, tour the program’s headquarters in The Republic Building—a modernist landmark designed by Myron Goldsmith—and downtown Columbus, learn about the program’s curriculum, culture, and career preparation, and enjoy a complimentary dinner.
Jacobs School of Music student composers perform original musical compositions inspired by the current exhibition in the Grunwald Gallery, "Blurring the Lines: Art at the Intersection of Human and Artificial Creativity."
An informal opportunity for Eskenazi students, faculty, staff, and friends to gather and share work being created in Fine Arts' fourth floor studios.
The Creativity in the Age of AI series continues with a talk by Paul Catanese: "Spectral Imprints: Sentient Pluralities and Unhuman Art." Catanese is a hybrid media artist who works in installation, performance, sound, video, and print media and a professor at the School of Visual Arts at Columbia College Chicago.

Figurative Painting Today: A Guild Fundraiser
Presented by the Painting Guild at the Eskenazi School, this exhibition and silent auction showcases representational and abstract figurative painting in oil, acrylic, and watercolor. The exhibition opens with a reception on Friday December 6 at 5 pm and remains on view through Saturday, December 7. Sales will fund entry fees for the Painting Guild's planned exhibition at the 2025 Chicago Expo.
Master of Fine Arts Organization (MFAO) Auction
An auction of original artwork by current M.F.A. students at the Eskenazi School will fund the publication of a catalogue documenting the graduating students' thesis exhibitions.
