Messengers will include several large-scale paintings, in which bindis of different shapes and colors are incorporated into and onto a painted surface. Her visit to the Indiana University campus is part of India Remixed: A Global Arts and Humanities Festival.

Out of Easy Reach contains works by twenty-four U.S. based, female-identifying contemporary artists from the Black and Latinx Diasporas. Working across a variety of media, these artists counter conventional accounts of abstraction in art history that have often overlooked the artistic contributions of women of color. Including over 40 artworks created between 1980 and 2018, Out of Easy Reach proposes that artists employ abstraction as a tool to explore histories both personal and universal, as well as to expose institutionalized modes of knowledge and power.
The Fall 2018 B.F.A. Thesis Shows feature work created by graduating Bachelor of Fine Arts students in the School of Art, Architecture + Design at Indiana University. Each exhibition features student work from a variety of the studio areas: digital art, graphic design, metalsmithing and jewelry design, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. To gain professional experience, exhibiting students participate in the planning of their shows and installation of their pieces.
