Creativity in Action: What We're About
The Eskenazi School leadership team invites you to get to know our community.
Founded in 2016, formally dedicated in April 2017 as the School of Art and Design, and renamed the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design in 2019, our school is built on a foundation of art and design instruction at Indiana University going back to 1895.
During the implementation period of our first strategic plan, the Eskenazi School met established goals and actions to create vital building blocks for the new and developing school. As we implement our plan for the next five years, we continue to position our school as a leader on the national and international stage, committed to transformational ideas built upon a liberal arts approach to art, architecture, design, and merchandising research, creative practice, and education.
In this new plan, the Eskenazi School seeks to continue its support of all students, faculty, and staff in creating unique paths to impact and inspire our school, campus, and world. Informed by the pillars of the university's strategic plan, we have established the following goals: Cultivate a Welcoming Working and Learning Environment, Enrich Student Success and Learning, Foster Excellence in Research and Creative Practice, and Engage our Community, State, and Beyond.
Enjoy looking through our website and getting to know our school and community. Please reach out with any inquires or questions. We’d love to hear from you!
