Isabelle Le Minh: International McKinney Resident

After a degree in Materials Science Engineering, Isabelle Le Minh settled in Berlin in 1989 to work as a patent engineer. She finally left behind her career to attend the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie d’Arles in 1993. Le Minh teaches at the Rouen High School of Art and is also a curator. She is represented by the Galerie Christophe Gaillard in Paris.

Amie Siegel: Digital Art

Amie Siegel works variously between film, photography, performance and installation. Recent solo exhibitions include the South London Gallery; the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, Museum Villa Stuck, Munich; Audain Gallery, Simon Frasier University, Vancouver, B.C.; Kunstmuseum Stuttgart and the MAK, Vienna. She lives and works in New York City.

Carole Lung: Textiles

Carole Frances Lung is an artist, soft power guerilla activist, and Associate Professor of Fashion Fiber and Materials, at California State University Los Angeles. Through her alter ego Frau Fiber, Carole activates a vocabulary of fashion and textile production and consumption, crafting of one of a kind garments, installations, performances, and social sculpture, paying homage to labor, textile and apparel manufacturing histories and contemporary production systems.

Tucker Marder: Creative Core

Tucker Marder is an artist and filmmaker currently living in Los Angeles. Working in a wide range of mediums including puppetry, documentary and landscape design, Tucker’s work uses humor and absurdity to promote an exuberant environmental ethic.

Sarah Perkins received her BA at San Diego State University and her MFA at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale and is a Professor at Missouri State University. She is currently serving as a Board Member of the Enamelist Society and on the Collections Committee at the Ornamental Metal Museum.

Anne Wilkes Tucker: Photography

Anne Wilkes Tucker was born in 1945 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and studied at Randolph Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Virginia. In 1967 she received a B.A. in Art History and then went on to receive an AAS in Photography at Rochester Institute of Technology. In 1972, she earned a Master of Fine Arts in Photographic History from the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, New York that was part of the State University of New York, Buffalo.

Josephine Halvorson is an artist based in Massachusetts. She is currently Professor of Art and Chair of the Graduate Studies in Painting area at Boston University. Halvorson’s work has been exhibited widely and is represented by Sikkema Jenkins & Co., New York, and Peter Freeman, Inc., Paris.

Karen Kunc: Printmaking

Karen Kunc is a Willa Cather Professor and Professor of Art at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she has taught since 1983. She received her BFA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and her MFA from Ohio State University.

AES+F: Sculpture

AES+F is an artist collective of four Russian artists: Tatiana Arzamasova (1955), Lev Evzovich (1958), Evgeny Svyatsky (1957), and Vladimir Fridkes (1956). Deploying a sophisticated, poetic dialogue among sculpture, painting, drawing and architecture, and plumbing the depths of art history and other cultural canons, AES+F’s grand visual narratives explore the values, vices and conflicts of contemporary culture in the global sphere.

Syd Carpenter: Ceramics

Syd Carpenter is a ceramics and mixed media sculptor who teaches studio art at Swarthmore College. Her recent work from the last several years focuses on ceramic portraits of African American farms and gardens. Growing up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where her grand mother and mother were avid gardeners, she continues the legacy of gardening at her home and studio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
