Ana María Gómez López creates durational and body-based projects based on self-experimentation and archival research in the history of science. Her work has been exhibited at the Rijksmuseum Boerhaave, Fonds d’art contemporain Genève, Universiteitsmuseum Utrecht, and the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum. She has held fellowships at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences, the Max Planck Institute for History of Science, and the Beinecke Rare Books and Manuscripts Library. Ana María was a resident artist at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and completed her MFA at the Yale University School of Art. In 2020, she will be artist-in-residence at the Osler Library for History of Medicine at McGill University.
