I am an interdisciplinary artist and writer who works between and across media to create long-form experiments in self-making and becoming as play. I experiment with faulty technologies—from language systems, gender binaries, genre conventions, and institutional structures, to virtual reality, AI tools, and live streaming—to explore meaning emerging at sites of simultaneous rupture and suture. I invite the audience to participate as collaborators in the sense- and no-sense-making process. My creative practice produces documents—including field notes, sculptural artifacts, maps, multichannel video, and performance scores—that are presented through publication, performance, and exhibition.
My current project is a book-length poetic manuscript and accompanying new media experiments entitled a non-philosophy of play. I am interested in a trans poetics that disentangles signifier from signified, liberating gender from limits of identification into expansive possibility of becoming (trans/forming), and stretching at and/or leaning into the tension of where the technology of language fails us.
I make poems and art that embrace this failure; I play knowing the stakes intimately: what fails us, the words, the forms, the technologies, and what poetry attempts with language as both rupture and suture; and what poetic forms hold parallel to bodies, identities, and expectations.
