The McKinney International Art and Design Residency
The Eskenazi School's McKinney International Art and Design Residency selects established artists whose primary country of residency is outside of the United States, who are actively engaged in contemporary artistic practice, and who show evidence of a national and international exhibition record.
McKinney International artists-in-residence are selected based on the merits of their professional careers, their dedication to being part of an academic environment, and their plan to develop and expand on their creative process based on facilities and access to the unique collections and research specialties available at IU. While at the Eskenazi School, residents are featured as part of the McKinney Visiting Artist Lecture Series and offer studio visits, open studios, and workshops based on technical/conceptual innovations.
Previous residents include:
Ana Maria Gomez Lopez (Netherlands/Colombia/USA), 2020
Isabelle Le Minh (France), 2019
Rodrigo Saste (Mexico), 2018
Hannah Bertram (Australia), 2017
