Fashion Design's Kev Addison named to NRF's top five in nation
Kev Addison, a senior studying fashion design and marketing, is one of five students across the nation named finalists for the 2024 NRF Foundation Honors Next Generation Scholarship, to be awarded in New York in January. In 2023, Addison received the Virgil Abloh Post-Modern Scholarship from the Fashion Scholarship Fund.

Opening Thursday, November 9, "These 'Things' I Call Art" showcases the wide-ranging oeuvre of Eskenazi alumnus and former faculty member Don Gene Bell (B.A. '61, M.F.A. '65). The posthumous retrospective at University Collections at McCalla spotlights a large gift of Bell's artwork and archives made to the university last year.
Contemporary artist Jeff Koons to speak at IU Nov. 5
Artist Jeff Koons, whose work across media has absorbed and reflected popular culture over the last four decades, will speak at IU Nov. 5 at 4 p.m. with, among others, Eskenazi School Associate Professor Caleb Weintraub, who has for several years experimented with AI as a tool in his painting practice. Eskenazi B.F.A. to helm panel of Black Indianapolis artists
Forming in the summer of 2020, the Eighteen Art Collective painted the Black Lives Matter mural on Indiana Avenue in Indianapolis, then mounted a year-long exhibition at Newfields. Now, as part of Themester 2023: Light and Truth, Eskenazi photography B.F.A. Austin Clark is bringing them to Bloomington for a panel discussion November 6 at 6 p.m. at the Mies van der Rohe Building.
New perspectives: architecture student examines "middle housing" options for Columbus
In his second year in the Eskenazi School's Miller M. Arch program, Will Ziegert is examining the missing middle of Columbus' housing market and proposing ways to add it back. In the spring, the city will host a public design charrette to invite discussion around Ziegert's recommendation for "a happy medium of denser-style living."
At the Intersection of Art and Technology: A Conversation with Jeff Koons
Contemporary artist Jeff Koons will discuss his artistic practice in a conversation November 5 at IU. Widely regarded as one of the most important and controversial artists of our time, Koons' visit is presented by IU's Eskenazi Museum of Art in partnership with the Eskenazi School and the Luddy School. "Multiple Bodies" Video Art Exhibition Launches Online and In Person
The Multiple Bodies project, produced by Bridge Video in partnership with Indiana University’s Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design, is now live online and will premiere through the inaugural Bridge Film & Video Festival running October 27–28 at SITE/Less in Chicago, Illinois.

The photography site Lenscratch covers Eskenazi School Professor Emeritus Jeffrey A. Wolin's retrospective Measuring Time at the IU Eskenazi Museum of Art. The exhibition is on view through December 17, 2023.
Eskenazi School Hosts Ethical Metalsmiths and Radical Jewelry Makeover
In collaboration with the artist-run nonprofit Ethical Metalsmiths, Eskenazi School jewelers transformed donations made by members of the Bloomington community last summer into new pieces to be exhibited in Radical Jewelry Makeover, opening January 19, 2024 at the Grunwald Gallery.
