Amir H. Fallah is a multidisciplinary artist who explores identity, memory, and the layered narratives embedded in objects and images in his painting, sculpture, and large-scale installation. His work belongs to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Birmingham Museum of Art, and many other collections in the US, China, Greece, Venezuela, UAE, and beyond.
The Los Angeles-based artist founded the art and design publication Beautiful/Decay in 1996 and was its creative director until 2013. He has exhibited in the Sharjah Biennial and received the Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters and Sculptors Grant. His painting “Calling on the Past” received the Northern Trust Purchase Prize at EXPO Chicago in 2019, and in 2020 he received the COLA Individual Artist Fellowship and the Artadia grant.
