Eskenazi School Recognition Ceremony

The Live Stream will begin at 7:30pm EST. The stream will be available to view until 11:59pm EST on May 8, 2022. 

Join the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design, and fellow spring and summer graduates for a graduation recognition ceremony and reception event separate from IU Commencement Ceremonies, acknowledging each individual Eskenazi graduate. Dean Peg Faimon and Associate Dean Rowland Ricketts will address the graduating class, and each graduating undergraduate and graduate student will walk across the stage as their name is called in recognition of their accomplishment.

This ceremony will recognize candidates who have completed degree requirements by May 2022 and students who will complete the requirements by the end of August 2022.

All tickets will be distributed by the Buskirk Chumley Theater Box Office. If you reserved your tickets by the April 4th deadline, your tickets will be available for pick-up after noon on Friday, April 8th during Box Office hours (Tuesday–Sunday, 12pm–5pm). After April 4th, go directly to the Buskirk-Chumley Theater's Online Box Office for any remaining tickets (see link at top of page.)

Your out of town friends and family are invited to join us via the event's livestream! They will need to create an account with Mandolin, which can be done by clicking the "Join the Live Stream!" button above. If you have issues viewing the livestream you can email help@mandolin.live. If you are using a smartphone or tablet, you will need to download the free Mandolin app to be able to view the ceremony. 

If you're looking for mementos of your time at the Eskenazi School, The Friends of Art Bookshop (located in the Fine Arts Building, Room 120) has restocked the official merch! They will be open until 5pm on Thursday May 5th, and from 9am–5pm on Friday, May 6th.

The Buskirk Chumley has a strict vaccination policy for anyone entering the theater. 

Check-in will open at 6:00 by showing your vaccination card (or a photo of it on your phone) and or “negative result (molecular, PCR, or antigen) that was administered by an official testing center” along with your ID. This will add some time to the check-in process, so please arrive early. The ceremony will begin at 7:30.

Metered parking is available downtown but will likely be limited the night of the event. There is also nearby parking in the 4th Street Parking Garage. You may want to consider carpooling or walking. 

Faculty will be seated on the stage. 

Student info:

  • Check-in will begin at 6:00  pm. Everyone must go through vaccination/security and it is going to take some time.
  • There will be two tables in the lobby: A-L and M-Z with name cards for all graduates.
  • You will pick up name cards and honors cords (if applicable) when you arrive.
  • Check in with the representative (who will be at the end of one of the tables) to make sure we have the correct pronunciation of your name.
  • You should HOLD your name card and present it to the name reader as you walk on stage.
  • Sit in the seats reserved for graduates. Seats will be noted with reserved signage.

Regalia is optional for faculty & students at this event. Partial regalia has also been popular in past years.
