Eskenazi School fashion design faculty Jooyoung Shin offers a show about the state of being a woman.
Responding to Simone De Beauvoir’s famous question “What is a woman?” Eskenazi fashion design faculty Jooyoung Shin offers her show, “Alterity” at the Cook Center for Public Arts and Humanities in Maxwell Hall. The artworks in the show reimagine what it means to be a woman using historical tropes and symbols that have consistently defined woman as “the other.”
Free and open to the public. Mon.–Fri., 12–4pm.
There will be a closing reception Friday, October 6 from 5–7pm.
