Opening the Interior Design at 100 celebration on the IU Bloomington campus, this exhibition showcases student designs for the next generation of learning environments in Kirkwood Hall. Students partnered with leading furniture manufacturers to envision inclusive classrooms with maximum flexibility for different kinds of learners and styles of instruction.
The reimagined classroom designs showcased in this exhibition are the result of a dynamic four-session charrette during which students explored how space, furniture, and technology can transform the educational experience. From flexible layouts to inclusive design strategies, this initiative brings together academia and industry to shape classrooms that inspire creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
Interior Design at 100 celebrates the centennial of instruction in interior design on the Indiana University Bloomington campus in 2025 through a series of speakers and student and community design opportunities.
