You are invited to the IU Eskenazi School Open Studios! Join us for an inspiring celebration of our school’s renowned programs in art, design, and merchandising. Whether you're a current, past, or prospective student, community member, or visitor, you're invited to an exciting evening of creative exploration at the Eskenazi School. Tour our cutting-edge facilities in three studio buildings, view student work on display, watch demonstrations, and try your hand at making something of your own, all at your own pace. A free shuttle bus will be making regular rounds among the buildings during the event.
Enjoy exhibitions, demonstrations, hands-on activities, treats, and prizes in each building. Ask an undergraduate student ambassador what life at Eskenazi is like. Be entertained by IU's own Ladies First a cappella ensemble in the Fine Arts Building!
Duck into our ArtShop, your source for art supplies, unique gifts, student work, and light snacks, just off the Showalter Fountain Plaza inside the Fine Arts Building.
5-7 pm: Kirkwood Hall, 130 S. Woodlawn Ave: comprehensive design, merchandising, interior design, fashion design
6-8 pm: Fine Arts Building, 1201 E 7th St: ceramics, digital art, creative core, architecture, graphic design, metalsmithing + jewelry design, photography, fibers, and painting
7-9 pm: Studio Art Annex, 802 E. 13th St: ceramics, fibers, painting, printmaking, and sculpture
Parking, accessibility, and food:
Free parking is available after 6 pm in the East Garage, 150 N. Eagleson Ave. and the Fee Lane Garage, 709 N. Fee Lane. Learn more about parking on the Bloomington campus here.
A free shuttle bus will be making regular rounds among the buildings during the event. Each studio building is fully accessible.
Light refreshments will be provided at each building.
Open Studios is free and open to the public.
