Kris Floyd has over 30 years of professional experience in the disciplines of Architecture and Interior Design, managing teams for a wide array of project types: cultural, educational, institutional, commercial, spiritual, historic, and residential. Working in a small Bloomington based firm, Matheu Architects, PC, he was involved in all aspects of design from conception to final construction. Throughout his career he has had the opportunity to work on significant projects helping to form a small part of the urban fabric of Bloomington. Most recently the New Southwest Branch Library for the Monroe County Public Library that was awarded the American Institute of Architects Indianapolis Design Excellence Citation Award. Other projects with the architecture firm Odle, McGuire, and Shook include Bloomington City Hall that was honored with the Design Award, Society of Indianapolis Interior Designers. Prior to the Bloomington City Hall interior design project, he was a member of the team that rehabilitated the Historic Showers Building Research & Office Center that was published in Architectural Record and received the Commission for Downtown Bloomington Design Award.
