“Ongoing Matter” is a multi-platform, traveling collection of new poster designs that mobilizes political engagement with the Report On The Investigation Into Russian Interference In The 2016 Presidential Election, or, as it is more colloquially known, the Mueller Report. These contemporary poster designs seek to make the Report accessible, and thus make the possibility of genuine, thoughtful, and passionate engagement with its findings possible.

To draw attention to the lack of sustainability in the apparel industry, faculty members Lori Frye and and Bo Choi incorporated sustainability into their curriculum. Last spring, with funding from a grant awarded by the IU Office of the Bicentennial, they challenged students to create IU-themed ensembles—with a catch. Only recycled apparel from area thrift shops could be used to fabricate the pieces.

LAA Office (co-founded by Daniel Luis Martinez and Lulu Loquidis) have designed a new, community studio at the 411 Art Gallery in Downtown Columbus. The project transformed a previously unused room into a flexible workspace that can be curated by visiting artists in collaboration with local community members over time. The design features custom plywood pegboard, moveable shelves, a retractable work table, and built-in storage.

The Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design at Indiana University has announced the design and construction of a new building originally planned for the IU Bloomington campus in the 1950s based upon a design by the legendary architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, who is regarded as one of the founders of modern architecture.
LAA Office (co-founded by Daniel Luis Martinez and Lulu Loquidis) have completed an exhibition celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Cleo Rogers Memorial Library (designed by I.M. Pei and Partners and completed in 1969). The exhibition content was created in collaboration with Tricia Gilson, who is the head archivist of the Columbus Area Architectural Archives.
