Interior design program partners with local design-build firm
Over the summer, Eskenazi’s interior design program partnered with Bloomington design-build firm Loren Wood to develop hands-on educational modules. Built from discarded materials, the wall systems will enable students to manipulate and build with real-world materials using diverse construction practices.

Trained in indigo farming and dyeing in Japan, the internationally exhibiting artist uses natural dyes and historical processes to create contemporary textiles that span art and design.

A double retrospective of the work of longtime Eskenazi painting faculty Tim Kennedy and Eve Mansdorf, “Shared Spaces” offers an unusual opportunity to explore common ground and divergences between artists whose creative and personal lives have been closely interwoven for three decades. The exhibition opens Friday, January 12 at the Grunwald Gallery.
Faculty Chae, Clark on Bloomington mural team
As part of a public art team, Eskenazi faculty members interviewed neighbors in Bloomington's Maple Heights to collect motifs for a mural that will cover the walls around the Duke Energy substation at 11th and Rogers. Eskenazi dean provides leadership to national fine arts associations
Since becoming the Eskenazi School's Founding Dean in 2016, Peg Faimon has taken an active role in professional associations dedicated to the fine arts in higher education. This fall, she was elected to leadership roles in the International Council of Fine Arts Deans board of directors and the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
