Noorderlicht is thirty years young! In 1990, a group of driven photo lovers decided to build a photo party in Groningen, to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of what was then called the USVA Photogallery. This turned into the first Noorderlicht festival.

Artlink is pleased to debut Humanimals in Precarious Positions, sculptures by Melanie Cooper Pennington. Pennington’s first solo exhibition highlights her large scale anthropomorphic sculptures. The exhibit opens September 20th and continues through October 25th.
LAA Office (co-founded by Daniel Luis Martinez and Lulu Loquidis) have designed a new, community studio at the 411 Art Gallery in Downtown Columbus. The project transformed a previously unused room into a flexible workspace that can be curated by visiting artists in collaboration with local community members over time. The design features custom plywood pegboard, moveable shelves, a retractable work table, and built-in storage.
LAA Office (co-founded by Daniel Luis Martinez and Lulu Loquidis) have completed an exhibition celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Cleo Rogers Memorial Library (designed by I.M. Pei and Partners and completed in 1969). The exhibition content was created in collaboration with Tricia Gilson, who is the head archivist of the Columbus Area Architectural Archives.
The volunteer-led Columbus Museum of Art & Design (CMAD) has awarded four grants totaling $12,250 for local art and design projects.
