Panel Discussion: September 5, 5-6 PM, FA015
Opening Reception: September 5, 6-8 PM, Grunwald Gallery
This exhibition marking the tenth anniversary of the McKinney Visiting Artist Series will feature significant bodies of work by a selection of those guests. Re:Visit honors the impact the series has had on students and faculty by providing invaluable experiences in artistic collaboration, mentorship, and hands-on learning, and forging connections with an international network of artists.
The exhibition will showcase work from visitors invited over the past decade by each of the school's nine areas of studio art, comprising a rich diversity of media, practice, and cultural contexts. Displayed across the Grunwald's three galleries, Re:Visit will point up the range of artistic practice nurtured through the McKinney Visiting Artist Series. Additionally, the East Gallery will showcase archived teaching and demonstration samples, underscoring the immersive and educational impact of this visiting artist program.
To complement the exhibition, the Eskenazi School will host a panel discussion featuring program “alumni,” who will explore the significance of artist residencies, travel, community engagement and other topics related to growth. This discussion, along with the exhibition’s opening reception, will serve as a valuable networking and learning opportunity for students, faculty, and the broader art community.
