A presentation by Dr. Jung E. Ha-Brookshire, professor and department chair of Textile and Apparel Management at the University of Missouri with extensive international experience as a sourcing manager in the textile and apparel industries.
The author of over 70 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and the textbook, Global Sourcing in the Textile and Apparel Industry, Ha-Brookshire’s research interests include moral responsibility of corporate sustainability, global supply chain and sourcing strategies, and sustainable production and consumption of textiles and apparel. She has consulted for the Office of the US Trade Representative and the US Department of Commerce in trade facilitations and capacity strengthening in Central America, and served in multiple leadership roles for the International Textile and Apparel Association. She has received multiple awards for her scholarship and teaching and presented her research over 125 times.
In her talk, Ha-Brookshire will share how she drew upon her experience to develop a theoretical framework for global fashion supply chain management, which forms the basis for her academic department’s research and curriculum agenda.
