To complement the current exhibition "YOU (Probably) HAVEN'T SEEN THIS BEFORE," the Grunwald Gallery presents a dynamic mix of original, experimental performances alongside the rare archival films exploring themes of artistic innovation and social justice featured in the exhibition. The evening will include a spoken word performance by Media School Professor Joan Hawkins, electroacoustic soundscapes by Kyle Quass, original poetry by Essence London, and an interactive postcard reading and writing experience facilitated by Addison Rogers.

More about the exhibition
YOU (probably) HAVEN’T SEEN THIS BEFORE (YPHSTB) is an exhibition that celebrates historically underrepresented narratives and motion picture practices that challenge and expand the spectrum of what is considered “cinema.” Curated by Carmel Curtis, Moving Image Curator & Digital Initiatives Lead, this selection of 34 rarely screened archival films has been preserved and made accessible thanks to the efforts of Indiana University Libraries Moving Image Archive.
